My friend Jennifer hosts a monthly virtual Mystery Stamping event. In May she walked us through creating an angle easel card. I made 2 more tonight using her directions.
To create your card you'll need (what I used):
Cardstock color one 4 ¼ x 11 (Basic Black)
Cardstock color two 4 x 4 ¼ (Smoky Slate)
Basic White 4 x 4 ¼ (Smoky Slate)
Something to put on the inside to prop up your easel.
Score long across the top at 5 ½ and 6 ½
Score from the top corner to the 6 ½ score on the diagonal.
Fold in half at the 5.5" score.
To make the card, adhere between the 1" scores to create what's known
a bookbinding card.
When adhering the front panel, be sure to only add adhesive on the lower triangle so
that your card can be propped up.
Add dimensionals to a small accent inside your card to hold up the angled piece.
For my cards I used the same colors of cardstock, but added ink with a Blending Brush on the hippo card to the striped Specialty Paper. That is a Sale-a-bration item called Silver & Gold 6" X 6" Specialty Paper. I used the silver stripes. There are also silver dots, gold stripes and gold dots.
Stampin' Up! does not currently have any car stamps, so I used the retired set, Need for Speed. The sentiment is from Biggest Wish which is current.
Isn't this hippo cute?! The stamp set is another Sale-a-bration item called Hippest
Hippos. (There is a coordinating die set which I don't have--yet.)
The leaves and flower on the inside are from the Cup of Tea bundle in the
2022-2023 annual catalog.
