As I mentioned in a recent newsletter, I attended a Stampin' Up! event on June 18, 2022. And since I didn't purchase the collection of products they suggested, my projects look very different.
They suggested we use the Splendid Day suite on pages 64-65 in the July-December 2022 mini catalog. Instead, I used the Ringed with Nature bundle on page 62 of the same catalog and the Rings of Love Designer Series Paper on page 7 of the July-August 2022 Sale-a-bration brochure.
For Card #1 we used Blends markers to shade light to dark on a Basic White piece of cardstock and layered that over a piece of Designer Series Paper.
Card #2, features an embossed background. I used the new Tree Rings hybrid embossing folder and added color to the Crumb Cake embossed panel using Soft Suede ink and a Blending Brush. They used the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder and added white craft ink to the Calypso Coral embossed panel with a Blending Brush.
Card #3 has 4 die cute shapes as our focal points. I used one tree ring die in the new bundle. I fussy cut my sentiment, too, for added interest. I remembered to stamp on my envelope!
Card #4 features the negative pieces from die cutting the shapes for Card #3. I just stamped on my Crushed Curry layer using the stamping-off technique to get a lighter shade of Crushed Curry.
Stampin' Up! events are a highlight of being a demonstrator. Maybe you'll be joining us next time!
