This is my third card using this layout.  I have adjusted the top layer of this card by making it smaller so more of the Designer Series Paper is seen.

Very Vanilla Scrap:  3/4" wide for sentiment

Real Red: Blends both Light and Dark

Festive Pearls:  Gold-NEW in Mini

Distressed Gold Specialty Paper-NEW in AC

Very Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon: about 9"-NEW in Mini

Other ideas for the Very Vanilla Layer on the front:

• Watercolor wash
• Blending Brushes with or without a mask/stencil
• Direct to paper from an ink pad (or 2!)
• Another idea: put ink on a block, spritz with water or rubbing alcohol and add color to the layer directly from the block
