Wonderful World Sale-a-bration 2022 Bundle

As I mentioned in my video from July 18, 2022, I'm sharing a few cards I made using the floral bundle, Wonderful World.  I'll try to highlight different ideas for each card.

I'll use the abbreviations AC for our 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.  JD for the July-December 2022 mini catalog. I will include the page number, too.  All of my colors were found in the DSP.  Let Stampin' Up! do the work of color coordination for you!

Let's start with the card I shared as a sample during my video.  The Pear Pizazz 'banner' end was cut with the Handmade Tag punch (JD-21).  That banner piece was embossed with the Fern 3D embossing folder (AC-176) then I highlighted it with a Blending Brush with Mossy Meadow ink.

Here on my website you'll find a number of blog posts about using Designer Series Paper (DSP) in general.  This use of a 3" x 3" piece of DSP and a 3-1/4" X 4-1/4" coordinating cardstock layer  is a great way to use just a small piece of DSP as your focal point.

Another way to use a 3" X 3" DSP piece is to cut it on the diagonal and layer it on your standard 4" x 5-1/4" card stock piece.  The circles are from Stylish Shapes (AC-175) and I looped gold trim from Simply Elegant Trim (AC-145) between the circles.  The sentiment can be found in the Season of Chic stamp set (AC-99).

Notice a narrow strip of DSP inside my card?  That's a great way to use your scraps!

I wanted to include multiple punched shapes, so I made a 5" X 7" card.  The layer under those punched pieces is vellum which I embossed.  This adds a delicate texture to any project.

Here I only used the stamp set.  The silver striped DSP is another Sale-a-bration item (free with qualifying purchase) during July and August 2022.  I used the silver Simply Elegant Trim (AC-145) to add just a touch of bling under my sentiment that can be found in Framed Occasions (AC-33).  I added the same DSP to my envelope flap with liquid adhesive.

For this card, I followed instructions from an old blog post for a corner fold card.  See that blog post here.  Again, I embossed my layers, but I used copper foil (AC-139).  Vellum sprigs were punched using the bough punch (AC-153).  The sentiment can be found in Go To Greetings (AC-26).

Next we have the card I made during my live video on July 18, 2022.  The Pear Pizzaz layer was embossed using the Pretty Flowers embossing folder (AC-177).  I tied White 3/8" Glittered Organdy ribbon (AC-146) around that embossed cardstock/DSP layer.  The outline on my stamped rose can be found Handmade Wishes (JD-21).  To highlight my stamped rose, I just offset a punched piece of Melon Mambo cardstock.

To create the easel card base, I scored a 4-1/4" X 11" Melon Mambo cardstock piece at 5-1/2" and 1-1/2".  Be sure to pop up something inside your card to hold up your easel.

Variations of this card have been floating around the internet since the DSP became available.  I CASE-d it from someone's card on Pinterest.  I used the stand-alone Stitched Rectangle die (AC-174) to cut out my 9 floral images.  I believe the second from smallest square in the Stylish Shapes dies (AC-175) would work.  I've also seen someone use the Rectangle Postage Stamp punch (AC-153) to cut them out.  See what you have already to create  your card like this.

I used Orchid Oasis for my card base and a layer of Mossy Meadow.  The sentiment is from Go To Greetings (AC-26).

This card uses the same size card base and scores as the easel card above (4-1/4" X 11" cardstock piece scored at 5-1/2" and 1-1/2") but I turned the card on its side and made a Z-Fold card instead, just to show more varieties of cards here.  The polka dot DSP is another Sale-a-bration item right now.  Again the greeting is from Go To Greetings (AC-26) and the trim is Simply Elegant Trim (AC-145).  I used a die from Seasonal Labels (AC-174).

I consider this my simplest card of the bunch.  I only used a narrow strip of DSP, a label/die cut/punch/layered rectangle as a focal point plus an embellishment.  This die can be found in the Seasonal Labels (AC-174).  My sentiment is in Go To Greetings (AC-26) and the twine is 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine in Starry Sky.  The card base is Sahara Sand.

Stamp your sentiment first, before adhering anything, just in case you smudge your image.

I wanted to show that other DSP works nicely with the stamp set.  Here I used Textured Chic DSP (AC-99 and AC-134). The label under the rose is found in Seasonal Labels (AC-174).  Fussy cutting my rose stamped image and using dimensionals to adhere it was all I needed to finish my card.

And last, but not least, here is another z-fold card in Melon  Mambo.  Score a 5-1/2" X 8-1/2" card stock piece at 4/1-4" and 2-1/8" to create the z-fold.  A small strip of DSP 2" X 5-3/8" fits on the flap with 1/16" reveal of Melon Mambo.  The circles are from Stylish Shapes (AC-175) and if you can see them, the embellishments are Festive Pearls (JD-31 and JD-83).

I hope you've enjoyed seeing all my cards!  As mentioned in my video, pulling 2-3 sheets of each of the colors in the DSP makes it much easier to create beautiful projects quickly.  I store them all together so I don't have to go searching for the right card stock colors every time I want to use the DSP.  Try it!  With our cardstock assortments (AC-126) you could easily have every color card stock in any DSP.  Sale-a-bration is a great time to stock up on not only card stock, but envelopes and adhesives, too.  I just placed an order today stocking up on basic paper crafting essentials and I earned a Sale-a-bration item!

I'm here to help with all of your paper crafting needs.  Happy Stampin'!
