Hopefully, you've noticed that last year I posted a Christmas card on the 25th of every month. While I'm continuing that in 2023, I'll also be posting a birthday card on the 17th of every month. Why the 17th? My birthday is on the 17th of September.
If you saw my video the week of January 9th, I used the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper, a Sale-a-bration item for 2023. That video is still on my Facebook page, but it is probably more easily found on my YouTube channel. (If you're reading this later, search on my channel for 'Dainty Flowers'.)
I used die cuts from the Meadow and Harvest dies in the video. Instead of cleaning up my messy desk (my "mesk", as Mary Gunn of Craft Roulette calls it) after my video, I made a birthday card.
A few things about this month's card. All of the dies were cut out of Basic White card stock. I colored the floral sprigs with a variety of Blends, our alcohol markers. Can you tell that 2 of them have Wink of Stella brushed on them, too?!?
I had considered making this a sympathy card. I know many people who relate to butterflies when a loved one dies. Maybe I'll made another similar card and change the sentiment.
I'll try to vary the birthday cards I post each month. Floral cards come to me quite easily. Watch for masculine and kids' birthday cards throughout the year.
