Christmas Card January 2023

These monthly Christmas cards are going to be a little tricky for me. The 2022-2023 annual catalog includes just a few Christmas stamp sets, and I only have 1 of them. You'll find them on page 42-44. I have the Christmas Season, image only stamp set. I'll have to be pretty creative these next few months for my Christmas cards!

For my card this month, I used the Full Basket dies, the wood grain stamp in Whiskey Business, a sentiment from Simply Fabulous and a few items as embellishments. I colored the Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels with a variety of Blend markers.

A fun detail on my card is the wood grain I added to the slats of the basket. This photo shows what the slats looked like when die cut in Crumb Cake card stock. I stamped the woodgrain in Whiskey Business in Soft Suede ink, then added more ink with a Blending Brush. I added Crumb Cake ink to the rest of the basket, too, to bring out the woodgrain embossed by the die.
