Card Swap using 2023 Annual Catalog Products

I have a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrator friends who stamp together monthly and swap cards periodically.  We call ourselves the Polaris Pals, a play on my business name, North Star Stamper.  (Thanks for the suggestion Deb Anderson!)  Five of us participated in our 2023-2024 Annual Catalog Swap.  I thought you'd appreciate seeing other styles of projects.

I'll post these alphabetically with my card last.  All page numbers are for that catalog, the 2023-2024 annual.  The products I mention in my descriptions will be linked below.

This was made by Deb Anderson.  She used the stand-alone Nested Essential dies.  You'll find them on page 165.  Her embossing folder is an online exclusive, Basic 3D embossing folders.  She used the crosshatch folder.

For her banners, Deb shared with me that she purposely chose the size of prints to go with the size of the banner--larger print for the larger banners.  What a great detail so we can see more of the print.  That Designer Series Paper (DSP) is Inked Botanicals.

Also notice how Deb used a thin strip of DSP on her envelope flap.  What a fun accent!

Up next is Alicia Markfort's Bookmark Pocket Fun Fold card. I hope you can see all the layers in her shop scene.  She both stamped and used die cuts to create it using the Let's Go Shopping Bundle.  I love her use of ribbon on her tag, and the embossed pocket.  She used the Exposed Brick folder. I'll be CASE-ing (Copy And Share Everything) her card soon.

Here is Ann Schmidt's card using the Friendship Royalty stamp set (56).  She heat embossed the tiara in silver which coordinates with her silver foil layer.  I love the coordination and the stars she stamped on her base layer.

Next we have Janet Siddoway's over the top Fun Fold Wiper Card!  It was so difficult to photograph.  The monkey under the trees peeks down as you open the card--that is the wiper element.  There is so much texture here that she made with 2 embossing folders (Fern and Exposed Brick).  I never would have thought to use the Little Monkey bundle (52 and 147) with the Stargazing DSP (86-87 and 132) along with the Basic Borders dies (162) that she used for her treetops!

Analyzing her card, which I learn so much by doing, I see that it's a double Z-fold card with the narrow Z at the top to create the treetops.  Now to learn to create the wiper element.  Stay tuned.  I'll learn that and share it soon.

And finally we have my swap.  I went super simple here using the Circle Saying Bundle (17 and 147).  A fun fact about the Circle Sayings stamp set that was created with the input of Million Sales Achiever, Jessica Taylor-- Jessica and I have the same team leader, Kristen.  We are so proud of Jessica's accomplishment!

I used a few circle punches to create my focal point, the largest being 2-3/8", the punch that coordinates with the Circle Sayings stamp set.  The other layers are 1-3/4" and 2"--both of those are Online Exclusives if you don't own them yet.  My swaps varied in colors using the Subtles 6" X 6" DSP.  The cupcake was colored with a variety of Blends, alcohol markers to corrdinate with the DSP on each card.

We are planning on having a 2023 September-December mini catalog swap, once we have new products to use.  YOU could join our swap, if you join the Polaris Stamping Team!  We'd love to have you.  (My team and a few other demos make up the Polaris Pals group.)

I hope you're as inspired by these fabulous creations as I am.  Happy Stampin'!
