Card Holder from a Sheet of Cardstock

These are the box/bags I made during my video this week, on December 18, 2023.  I find them to be quick and easy to make.  I hope you try one soon!

You'll need:

-8-1/2" X 11" cardstock

-2 pieces of patterned paper:  3" X 4-1/2"  I used Bee Mine Designer Series Paper (DSP)

-Ribbon:  about 32"

-Strong Adhesive

-Scoring Tool - I used my Paper Trimmer's scoring blade

I also used:

-Curved Label Punch

-Elegant Edge Tag Topper Punch

-White cardstock:  2" X 4-1/2" (for tag)

To create your box:

Score on the 8-1/2" side at 1-1/4" and 7-1/4" (that's 1-1/4" from each side)

Score on the 11" side at 4-1/2" and 6-1/2"

Fold and burnish on scoring lines.

Cut the on the center scores to the 1-1/4" score.

Here's what you should end up with:

Finally, fold the sides in and adhere.

Decorate as you'd like.  I used the Curved Label punch to make the DSP on one side into a pocket.

Here are my card holders!
This was my sample.

This is the one I made during the video.

I needed 3 of them, so I made another one.

This is such a nice way to give a gift of cards.  The handles are not so sturdy that you could put heavy items in the box, but another light gift would be okay.

Happy Stampin'!
