Craft Roulette: My 100th and 101st Submissions

Last week I contributed my 100th submission to Craft Roulette!  I've been playing along for several years (obviously, to get to 100 if we can only submit weekly).

What is Craft Roulette?  It's the ultimate card making challenge.  They have a weekly live show on YouTube featuring improvised crafting, special guests, community contributions, tons of prizes and much, much more!

For my 100th submission our parameters were:

Project:   Shaped Card

Colors:  Peacock  (luckily we have Pretty Peacock as a Stampin' Up! color)

Element:  Tall

Random:  XOXO

I started with a very large, retired flower-shaped die and Pretty Peacock.  My tall elements are the 2 stamped flowers.  My white panel was a collage-type element that allowed me to include XOXO as a stamped image and set the theme for my card.  I used colored pencils to add a bit of color to the flowers.

This week's episode, #231, gave us the following parameters:

Project:  Outside & Inside
Colors:  Tulips
Element:  Festival
Random:  Check(s)

I stamped inside and outside my double z-fold card.  With the color parameter every week, I go with my first thoughts --here I used pinks, orange, yellow and green.  My festival is a fall festival--thus my pumpkins.  I used the retired Buffalo Check background stamp in Lemon Lolly and Granny Apple Green on my card base.

The wagon, pumpkins, balloons and banner are all current products:  Filled with Fun stamp set and dies, Filled with Cheer (wagon and wheels stamps), Scenic Pumpkin Patch stamp set.

I love having opportunities to use my many retired products.  Let me know if you join Craft Roulette live some Friday evening.  They review last week's submission at 6:10pm CT and Mary Gunn starts the live show at 6:30pm CT.

Happy Stampin'!
