December Birthday Cards!

Today I'm sharing the card I made in last night's video (where I shared products from the January - April 2025 mini catalog) and 2 other new cards.  Happy Stampin'!

The patterned paper is the Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper, but the stamp set and punch are not new.  Actually, the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set is retiring and is currently a discounted Last Chance product.  It's available (as of 12/16/24) for $8!

I cut 3/4" off the front of my card, so when I adhered the 1-1/4" strip of Pretty in Pink gingham DSP inside my card, you can see it when the card is closed.

--2 more cards--

This is probably my favorite layout for using DSP when I can't decide on a pattern.  The pieces are 4" X 3".  I adhere them together before putting them on the card base so I can adhere the ribbon on the back.

Other ideas, use 1 piece of DSP and 1 piece of cardstock, stamp on them, emboss them, or do all of the above!  I used ribbon, but you could easily use a narrow strip (SCRAP?!) of cardstock or even another DSP pattern to hide your seam.

Here I used the Happy Birthday from the Friends for Life stamp set and the Bright Borders stamp set with the To the Point Label Punch.

DSP:  Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper
Colors:  Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo.

I made this card first and wish I had stamped flowers on the Pretty in Pink gingham plaid DSP, but I had already adhered the panel to my card base with dimensionals.   That's where I got the idea for my next card.....

For my masculine birthday card, I again used the Happy Birthday from the Friends for Life stamp set and the Bright Borders stamp set with the To the Point Label Punch.  The fish are part of the Gone Fishing stamp set.

DSP:  Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper
Colors:  Basic Beige, Boho Blue and Pecan Pie.

So that's all for this year!  I enjoy making and sharing birthday cards each month, so I will be continuing this in 2025!
