Birthday Cards for January 2025

I have a few birthday cards for you today.  I hope they inspire you!

This gatefold card features the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper (DSP).  The largest light blue label, the bottom layer under the sentiment was cut from the DSP.  I used the Winterly Tree Top Dies for the die cuts.  The small Happy Birthday is from the Keeping Tabs stamp set.

The next birthday card was made for Craft Roulette episode 248 from January 3, 2025.  The parameters were:

Project: Tags
Colors: Disney (I used Moana colors.)
Element: January (tree branch in winter here, without leaves)
Random: Branch(s)(ing)

To create the background, I added Boho ink directly to Block E and spritzed it with water.  This was put on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  I didn't like the look of it, so I added Summer Splash ink with a Blending Brush to color in the whole rectangle.

A water painter with ink from ink pads (Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso) was used to color the birds and berries.

Sorry, I used a few retired products on this card--the tag dies and the faux suede trim.

Monster Truck Fun Card

And finally, this was our niece's son's birthday card.  His party theme was monster trucks, so I started with the soon to retire Trucking Along bundle.  The background was patterned paper in the Splendid Autumn pack.  Happy Birthday is in the Keeping Tabs stamp set.  His name was stamped with a non-Stampin' Up! very old stamp set.  I also used a few retired products but was able to show them below.

A few notes:
  • To create the track for the truck to move along, I used a die from the Gone Fishing Dies.
  • I've included Stampin' Dimensionals because you need them to raise the top layer so your truck will move along the track.
  • I used a stylus to a texture to the truck tires.
  • The Deckled Rectangles Dies were used to create a frame for the card.

As always, please let me know if I have something wrong here, or if I can answer any questions you may have.  Thanks!

Happy Stampin'!
