Cards Inspired by the Cardmaking Stash Summit

Paper craft blogger, designer and YouTuber, Justine Hovey, hosted a summit this past weekend, the Cardmaking Stash Summit.  These are the cards I was inspired to make.  I learned the colored strips of cardstock technique.  I used my Stamparatus, stamp positioner for this one.

The next 2 cards started by using spray inks.  I only have 2 brown sprays, so that's what started my color themes.  I pulled out my Stampin' Spritzers in homemade Stampin' Up! colors and kept going. I also used the smooshing technique with a piece of acetate.

I used the Queen Bee stamp set and dies for this one.  Wild Wheat was the perfect addition to my card.  And I used adhesive sheets on the tiny honeycomb pieces.  I just realized that I forgot to list the embossing folder that I used on this card.  It's a retired folder that has specks and bits of words on it--and has a very grunge-y feel to it.

Not comfortable splattering on your stamped pieces?  Both the Queen Bee and Spotlight on Nature stamp sets include dots stamps. No flicking or splattering necessary!

Just a reminder:  the 2023-2025 In Colors:  Boho Blue, Copper Clay, Moody Mauve, Pebbled Path and Wild Wheat will all be retiring this spring.  Stock up now on your favorite one(s)!

A fun technique I tried on this next card was using a palette knife and Metallic Enamel Effects Basics to add a bit of color and sheen.

Product List

It was fun to pull out lots of products I hadn't used in a while.  Have you tried something new lately??  That's my challenge to you today.--Sue
